Mahindra Kine, Hot Scooty With Extra Comfort – An Overview With Pictures

April 30, 2010

Amplifying the stock of two-wheelers in India, a new scooty is going to be launched by emerging two-wheeler manufacturer, Mahindra And Mahindra, which will be called Mahindra Kine. The scooter is an extension version of the Kinetic kine which we have already available in the market. Its distinctive features will make it to stand out in all the other scooties till date. Main attraction lies in its appearance and looks which have been beautified by:-

  • a sharp nose in the front
  • headlamp on the steering handles
  • charming framework in the front face
  • a mudguard and beautiful curvature on the rear side

The control panel of Mahindra Kine will have a fuel gauge, tachometer, trip-meter and a speedometer. Steering handles and the driver seat will be quite apart to have a good space for storage. A box for documents, space under the seat for bags, umbrella, etc and a mobile charger below the handlebar are expected to be the features of storage. Footrest is going to be very comfortable, but with a simple black mat. The backseat or pillion is provided with a rail for support and safety.

ENGINE SPECS AND ASSISTANCE

The Mahindra Kine is going to be equipped with a two-stroke, air-cooled 80cc engine. This powerful engine has the capacity to generate maximum torque of 5.7 N-m at 4,500 rpm and peak power of 4.3 PS at 5,000 rpm. The Mahindra Kine is planned to be gearless with standard braking and self start feature. The wheelbase of the 82 kg Kine will be large of about 1235mm. Maintenance of the Kine will be convenient as it is fitted with a free battery. The 80cc engine should not be expected to have a great pick-up, but still better with an acceleration to pass the congested roads. Scooty is chosen over a scooter on account of its sleek body and low weight. Fuel efficiency is also increased. Mahindra Kine with its small engine will have the fuel capacity of 4 litres with a mileage of 55 km per litre.

SPARE PART PARTICULARS

Mahindra Kine is expected to be incorporated with drum brakes at front and rear ends which will be quite good to control this light-weight scooty. If an instant halt is required, both the brakes should be applied simultaneously. Shock absorbers will be standard to ensure a comfortable ride on even and slightly uneven roads, but highly uneven and bumpy roads should be avoided. The wheels will be the alloyed ones with three spokes. Small tyres account for the low-weight of the scooties and so is the case with the Mahindra Kine. As mentioned earlier, wheelbase will be of 1235mm which gives a good control to the rider. The slimmer body and smaller stance, too, will enhance the control.

COLOUR AND PANACHE

The body colour will be very trendy and sporty. The front mudguard, front and rear side panels will be painted and the rear-view mirrors and pillion rail will have the same colour as that of the body. However, nothing is yet known about the colour scheme availability, but that will be published on bikeSpace.in as soon as anything is heard about the same.

Mahindra Kine – The Consoler

Comfort wise, Mahindra kine will be the most wanted scooty in India. Seat is well cushioned and long enough to support two people with ease. The driver will have all the storage benefits under the seat and below the steering handles where anything from a document to a box or a tin can be clutched. A grab-rail and footrest for the pillion is also provided, making the two-wheeler truly suitable for two people. Free battery for maintenance is expected to be loaded for easy and convenient upkeep of the Kine.
