Bajaj Autos has tried every segment of motorcycle bazaar to uphold their machines and compete with other manufacturers like Hero Honda and TVS. The most recent launch from Bajaj was Bajaj Pulsar 135LS and re-launches in Pulsar 150, 180, 200 and 220. Now giving a rest to sports and light-sports segment, Bajaj has revealed a new version of their successful commuter Bajaj Discover DTS-I with 150cc engine and can be called as Discover 150.
Bajaj bike launch has always been a waiting session for many Indian riders but unfortunately Discover 150 has disappointed many bikers over graphics, design and styling. The new edition of Discover is almost same like its former and light version, Discover 100. There are almost zero changes which can show any frame work done on the motorcycle. The design of bike is just a commuter suiting but with minimal graphics.
Bajaj Discover 150 features a 4-Stroke 144.8cc DTS-i engine which generates maximum power of around 12.8 Bhp at 7500 rpm with maximum torque of around 12.7 Nm at 5500 rpm. Another element of Discover 150 is 130mm telescopic front suspension coupled with Nitrox aided suspension at the rear. Bajaj Discover 150 retains a good feature from its preceded version and that is consumption of fuel. The bike is expected to return a fuel mileage of 65kmpl.

Words From CEO, Bajaj Autos India, Mr. S Shridhar
“Discover 100 took market by a storm with its launch last July. In this short span of time the Discover 100 is already one of the largest selling models in the motorcycle market with current volumes averaging 75,000 per month. With the new Discover 150, we are instilling a fresh momentum and adding riding excitement to the overall Discover portfolio. The new Discover is all set to be a pleasure to the commuter’s pocket both in terms of purchase as well as operating cost”
The price tag of Bajaj Discover 150 DTS-I is Rs48, 000 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
bikeSpace Verdict: The bike is not appreciable in terms of styling and graphics neither matches its 150cc engine. Very less difference between Discover 150 and Discover 100! The only two things commendable about the latest machine is its promising mileage and low price tag.
