Hyosung Motors set an initiative to release Hyosung GT650R in Indian market soon. This was obvious after being a bestseller in the motorcycle markets of Europe and Australia. Year 2010 was an inception to middle-weight bikes in India after Kawasaki Motors laid foundation to IKM and in turn foundation to Kawasaki middle weight bikes like Ninja 650r in the Indian motorcycle market.
Indian motorways have always witnessed low-weight bikes below 350cc of engine capacity. But now more and more manufacturers have made a thought to lay high power bikes in Indian markets. And after Kawasaki and Honda, it is now Hyosung with Hyosung GT650R.
Concise Preview On Hyosung GT650R
The most amazing feature accompanied with the machine is its 90-degree V-Twin motor that can produce power upto 80PS with a RPM stretch upto 10,000. That is really giant for a middle-weight bike. The bike has an excellent pickup with a torque accounting 67nm and that too without rotating throttle to full (at 7,250rpm).
A six speed transmission box is enough to speed up the bike to achieve a speed over 220kmph with a deadline velocity of 81kmph and 135kmph measured in first and third transmission respectively. Hyosung GT650R, 2010 has a further add-on of fuel injection to carburet motor functioning.
The chassis of the GT is a trellis-type twin spar frame which is considered highly stable. The traction control on motorways is subjected to Bridgestone Battlax tyres. The tyres have an awesome grip over both hot dry surface and wet slippery turf. Good for cornering at high speeds on both the ways (left/right).
The handling is realized safe and easy which has been credited to the blend of chassis, tyres and suspension. The frame accompanies a fully adjustable suspension at front and a preload adjustable monoshock at rear. Which suit the bike very well. Moreover the aerodynamics has been considered very serious as the rider feels calm even at very high speeds. And in addition, the bike is even suitable for city riding as the rider position is cosy to ride on.
The white backlit digital speedometer is analogue in nature. The bike has a short wheel base but a tall seat with some heavy muscles at front, giving bike the adequate style along with a tinge of MV Agusta F4.
