KTM Naked Street Bikes To Be Launched In India In 2011

I have made some statistics against the new bikes in India people desire to see. Most of the citizens are waiting to see some Bajaj bikes on motorways especially Pulsar variants. Thanks to the manufacturer, they will be soon releasing some good variants in Pulsar and Discover segment. Have you heard about KTM bikes? I am sure most of the people living in India and neighbouring countries are not aware about the manufacturers. The Industry is Austria based and produces great variant bikes especially naked ones. As i had already conveyed to my readers past few months that KTM will be soon launching street bikes in India. And finally they have made an official statement. You may be surprised why I was telling you about Bajaj autos and its credits in the beginning of this post that is because KTM will sell its bikes with collaboration with Bajaj Autos, India. Bikes will be assembled at Bajaj plants and sold through Bajaj outlets throughout India.

The bike will be called as KTM 125 Duke and it will be a naked street bike version of the 125cc bikes they have already designed. Infact the bike resembles in many ways to the KTM 690 Duke. In EICMA show held in Milan in 2009, the bike clown was introduced for the first time and they had mentioned some special versions of 125 Duke to accompany; viz. ‘Race Version’ and ‘Stunt Version’. Lets see do we get any of them, none of them or fortunately both of them as version here.

Not much technical specification of the KTM 125 Duke is out but it will be featuring a fuel-injected, liquid cooled 125cc engine that can produce a peak power upto 15.2ps. Bike is expected to be launched by early months of upcoming year. Gear up and get ready for some import brands.
