Suzuki Slingshot Plus – A Better Variant Of Its Ancestor

Another example of Suzuki dishing out a quality product is the Suzuki Slingshot Plus. The bike, which has just been launched in India, is the next version of the Suzuki Slingshot. The designing of the body has been altered a bit; otherwise, most of the features of this new bike can be seen in the Suzuki Slingshot.

The new Suzuki Slingshot Plus is available both in kick start and self start mode. The bike comes with a four stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, air cooled engine. The bike has a strong engine of 125cc with a displacement of 124cc. It is really needless to mention how strong the engine of this bike might be. It has a zipper acceleration and mindboggling pick-up.

The extra potent engine of the bike generates a climax power of 8.5 bhp at 7500 rpm and churns out top torque of 10 Nm at 3500 rpm. The bike comes with 5 speed manual gearbox. However, one thing needs to be mentioned about the bike specially. The bike is developed on the BS III norms. Such engines are not only fuel efficient but also eco-friendly. So, those of you who are planning to buy a bike like the Suzuki Slingshot Plus are not harming the environment.

This new bike comes with excellently chosen color schemes. Candy antares red, metallic mustard yellow and pearl nebular black are some of the colors in which you can get your dream bike. The metallic fox orange body colors are a treat to watch and certainly to own too.

However, the surprising thing is that, there are no graphics on the body colored fuel tank of the bike. But the company logo has found its place on the fuel tank itself. Apart from that, there are no graphics. Yet, the inclusion of graphics could have certainly added the extra bit of trendiness to the bike.

The front fender of the Suzuki Slingshot Plus is of the same body color, while the rear fender is black in color. These black rear fenders also include the rear indicators. As expected, the new technology bike has a crystal clear LED tail lamp. The Suzuki Slingshot Plus has a wheel base of 1265 mm. Its length is 2035 mm, height is 1100 mm while the width is 770 mm.

Multi-spoke alloy wheels are probably used for the first time with each spoke making a pair with its nearer partner. The tyres are a bit fatter and help to give the much needed control over the bike. Therefore, balancing the bike is not a problem at all.

The brakes and the suspension are given equal importance as such safety measures are the need of the hour for a bike with such a strong engine. As far as the brakes are concerned, the front brakes are of the hydraulic caliper, single disc type. The rear brake is of the mechanical, landing trailing, drum type.

The front suspension is telescopic, coil spring, oil damped; while the rear is swing-arm, coil spring, oil damped one.

    Honda Shine 125cc costs 63k
    Yamaha SZ-R 150cc costs 67k (analog meter)
Suzuki Gs150r 150cc costs 72k (digital meter, with engine balancer, with 6th gear for highway)
Honda unicorn 150cc costs 73k (analog meter)
Bajaj Pulsar 150cc costs 73k (digital meter)
TVS Apache 160cc costs 73k (digital meter)

This info is quite useful. Thanks

  3. Well the above given price figures are a little bit doubtful. Honda shine is costlier than Honda Twister.
