One look at the Hero Honda Hunk will give you an idea that the bike is designed for today’s youth, which mainly comprises of college going boys. The stylish looks, the protruding fuel tank and the strong alloy wheels, all contribute in some way or the other to the macho looks of Hero Honda Hunk.

If these are the mouthful of praises that the Hunk commands, then the Bajaj Discover too is not far off. It is also a hot choice when it comes to today’s young generation. Yet there are some things that set these two bikes apart. Have a look.

Hero Honda Hunk VS Bajaj Discover

The Hero Honda Hunk comes with air cooled, 4 stroke OHC engine. The engine has a displacement of 149.2 cc. The bike comes with a self start option. Fuel gauge and the speedometer are of analogue type. The rear view mirror adds to the subliminal effect of the bike. The bike generates a maximum power of 10.6 KW at 7,500 rpm and creates a maximum torque of 12.80 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Hunk has a five speed mesh transmission.

The Bajaj Discover incorporates 4 stroke, single cylinder, natural air cooled, DTS-i engine, which has a displacement of 144.8 cc. The bike comes in both self start and kick start option. The Discover also sports alloy wheels like the Hunk. The side panels give the bike a deep weight and the bike looks impressive. The Discover produces a maximum power of 13 PS at 7,500 rpm and creates a maximum torque of 12.75 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The Discover comes in five speed gear box.

The HH Hunk has a tremendous power in its engine. The bike can reach the 60 kmph mark in just about 5.6 seconds. It is a good speed and almost a flying experience in less than 6 seconds. The fuel tank of the bike is 12.4 liters with 2.2 liters of reserve. The bike is capable of giving a millage in the higher 50s, though it increases on the highways.

As far as the acceleration of the Discover is concerned, it takes a bit more than the Hunk. The Discover takes 7 seconds to reach the 60 kmph mark. However, the Discover has an age over the Hunk when it comes to the millage. The Discover can manage millage of up to 65 kmpl. This is possible due to the DTS-i technology. However, the sad thing is that, the bike has a fuel tank of only 8 liters with 1.5 liters as reserve.

The Hunk comes in colors like black, red, panther black, blue and silver, while the Discover comes in black with blue and maroon colors. The HH Hunk has disc brakes at front and drum type brakes for better safety. The Discover also has front disc brake and rear drum type brakes.

The length height and width of the Hunk is 2080 mm, 1095 mm, 765 mm respectively; while the measures for the Discover are 2030 mm, 1065 mm and 760 mm.
