The Honda Activa is a bike that looks completely family oriented. It has the sleek and trendy design that makes it light in weight so that the ladies can handle it too. The same goes for the TVS Wego. It is also designed to make the fairer sex use it with ease and confidence.
However, it looks much more like a macho bike. The white alloy wheels make the vehicle look a lot beautiful adding to the grace of the bike. The brown and the chocolate-colored shade, is perhaps the most sought after color combination.
Even if the Honda Activa sports the body that of a moped, it has a strong engine that would more than suit an entry level bike. The Activa comes in a single cylinder air cooled OHC engine. The 110cc displacement of the engine is the proof of it. The powerful engine of the vehicle churns out a maximum power of 8 bhp at 7500 rpm and creates a maximum torque of 7.85 Nm at 5500 rpm.
The TVS Wego has an air cooled, 4 stroke single cylinder engine. The engine displacement of the bike is 109.7cc. The engine delivers a max power of 8 bhp at 7500 rpm and generates an utmost torque of 8 Nm at 5500 rpm.
The 4-speed transmission of the Honda Activa gives the bike a healthy acceleration and pickup. The Activa, which carries a six liter fuel tank, takes around 10.5 seconds to reach the 60 kmph mark. The heavy duty engine allows the bike to be driven as fast as 89 kmph.
The Wego does not lack behind in the acceleration than the Activa. The Wego is a little faster and takes 10.30 seconds to reach the 60 kmph mark.
The fuel efficiency of the Activa also stands at a healthy 52 kmpl. However, practically speaking the average that the bike gives is 45 kmpl in the city area and 50 kmpl on the highways.
As far as the Wego is concerned, it fuel efficiency is a little low at only around 40 kmpl. The heavy built of the bike and the powerful engine contributes to the reduced millage of the bike.
The Activa comes in drum brakes for both the wheels. The diameter of both the brakes is 130mm. These drum brakes seem to be fine keeping in view the total performance of the bike. The suspension used for the Activa is bottom link with spring loaded hydraulic damper for the front wheel. As for the rear, there is the unit link with spring loaded hydraulic damper.
For the Wego, the same 130mm diameter brakes are used, like the Honda Activa. There is the in-line telescopic suspension for the front fork and for the rear it is the unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper.
The length of the Activa is 1765 mm, the height is 1130 mm and the width is 715 mm. The ground clearance seems to be a little low with 145 mm only.
Like the Honda Activa, the dimensions of the Wego are as follows: the length is 1834 mm, the height is 1115 mm and the width is 640 mm.

yes,activa is better and has good resale value.my wego is just 6months old and from now it started rusting.i dont feel comfortable on it.mileage is also normal.i bought it for rs. 54,500(on road kerala).now wen i tried to sell it i am getting only rs 33000.and another negative point is that there is no leg space,we cannot keep much things in the front.i prefer activa.
i m driving tvs wego and it gives a very good mileage of 55km/l. morever its pickup is much more better than activa…… so, i prefer wego!!!!!!

I test drove both the vehicles. Wego rides like bike. Honda still rides like a scooter. Both the engines are very smooth. Activa has already proved it is a reliable scooter. Wego is brand new. but Tvs scooty is in around for 15 years and proved its reliablilty. Both are very atractive. Tvs even more attractive. When you see wego in the show room you feel like to take one to home.

Only advantage of Activa is its resale is good…. But you have notice that both Activa and Wego come at almost the same price, but Activa’s accessories are over and above the vehicle cost which easily comes to 5500 to 7000. So I don’t see much of value add in resale from Activa because we are already paying the extra amount…

I am riding wego for 1.3 year. Realy its good. It gives max speed of 90kmph. Also the wheels are 10% bigger than any other scooter. So TVS has really cracked the market by introducing wego.
Which gives better miledge on road?
More than two years I am using wego, average milage is in between 48 and 52 km/ltr. My best milage is 56. I can say the best scooter availble in India.
Yar Meri Wife ne Wego lee as she is short in height, not even 5 feets , and I became fan of it , I stopped driving my bike and starting driving her Wego , very comfortable more speed and grip on road than my Bike (CD dawn) , I am regularly driving at Greater Noida Express highway and I tell you we both sit on it and vehicle cruises smoothly at 80km/hr ,Plus I feel confidend even on that speed ,i.e. I have full control over the vehicle , TVS engineers have really worked hard working over its balance ,vehicle seldom looses balance even you brake it on a high speed , plus shocker system is great , Front telescopic , I have very bad habit of bumping over the speed breakers ,

How is TVS wego if it is regularly driven only on the bad roads and path holes. how will be this in a long run say for 4 to 5 years. As honda activa is strong enough to use for 4 to 5 years and more, but it lacks in suspension area and high spares cost.
I need a scooter and i have listed wego and maestro,my daily running is 6-7km with 3 persons.so suggest me whose speed and other things would not be affected by the pressure of 3 persons and mileage too.
i feel the ppl who are suggesting wego are from Wego company not real customers, because some one is 90 kmpl, definately not possible we have wego, it is good but as much as it is mentioned here.
Wego rocks……with full throttle touches 98 km/hr on Indian road which is the highest among all scooters i.e two and with full petrol intake it's pickup is good,also its alloy wheels gives comfort when you riding it
i am one of the buyers of wego in the first lot. no vehicle would have given such a problems like wego. every part of the vehicle has created problem to me. I was a ardent fan of TVS . every 3 years I change vehicle and everytime it is one or other tvs vehicle only. This wego has spoiled all the good name of TVS earned over the years and I have decided not to buy any TVS products any more. enough is enough.
