Post image for Review Of Mahindra Rodeo

Among the other vehicles from Mahindra like the Mahindra Duro, Mahindra Flyte or Mahindra Kine which are specially designed for the ladies, the Mahindra Rodeo is one such bike. In its designing and overall appearance, it is much like the other vehicles which are mentioned above. However, all the above vehicles are different in their own class.

The very shape of the vehicle shows that it is from the scooterette segment. However, like some of the other bikes in this segment, Rodeo can also be driven at a top speed of 80 kmph. The Rodeo comes in a powerful engine, which has a displacement of 124.6cc.

The Rodeo has a four stroke air cooled engine. The bike generates a healthy power of 8 Bhp at 7000 rpm and creates a top torque of 9 Nm at 5500 rpm. It has automatic gears installed in it. That is why it becomes easier for new learners, especially the women, to learn the bike.

The length of the bike is 1790 mm, the height is 1100 mm and the width is 690 mm. The ground clearance of the Rodeo is 115 mm. The wheelbase of 1245 mm is excellent for a good control. The wheel size of 3.5 X 10″ – 3.5 X 10″ mm looks good for a light weight rides in and around the city region.

The weight of 106 KG is not too much for the bike and can be handled even by women – for whom the bike is targeted. The fuel tank capacity of the Rodeo is 4.5 liters.

As usual the presence of the alloy wheels is welcome in the Rodeo too. As the bike is expected to be used in the city area, it comes without any disc brakes. Both the rear and the front brakes comprise of 130 mm dia drum. As far as the suspension is concerned, there is the telescopic suspension for the front wheel and hydraulic suspension for the rear.

Among some of the other features of the vehicle, the fuel gauge, the speedometer and the tacho meter, all come in a digital format. The bike comes in a self start facility. However, it is this feature, which has been a problem to some people. The self start facility just does not seem to work properly.

This problem is seconded by the poor battery condition as well. The low quality of the battery makes the self start a real headache. It generally happens during the winter days if the bike is not used for a couple of days and one tries to self start the bike. The automatic drainage of the battery is also a matter concern. So this is one feature that one should keep an eye on while making the choice.

Apart from a couple of such problems, the Mahindra Rodeo is one of the best bikes around. It has a good and appealing appearance with trendy shape, which certainly suits today’s smart and dashing girls as well as boys.
