Of late, there have been many instances of bikes being spied on, which are waiting to be newly launched. The latest is the Daytona 675 from the British auto maker Triumph. The bike is to be launched in India early, in the next year. However, the spy shots of the bike are already available on the Internet.
MCN is a world famous two wheeler magazine. The first images of the bike were spotted in the latest edition of the magazine. The images could not keep the bike under the wraps any longer now. The pictures in the MCN reveal that, the bike is just not an upgrade, but seems to have been an overhaul in entirety.
So what is there in the bike? The bike comes with 675cc triple cylinder engine. The bike can generate a power of 124 Bhp and nearly 65 Nm of torque. The bike has already proved its popularity in the European countries and is all set to do the same in the Indian market as well.
There was lack of customers and the sales dipped in the last 12 months or so for the bike. The reason was that there were no major changes in the bike. That is why people were skeptical to go for it. However, the spy pictures give us a clear idea. The parts used in the overhauled bike are either modified to a larger extent or better way, have been modified completely.
The new bike has a small exhaust which will be seen in place of the previously under the seat unit. Such a change is being seen in most of the bike manufacturers these days. No wonder, the designers and the engineers have also given in to the new wave that is sweeping the new design concept in the two-wheelers.
The front fairing and the headlamps are also under the hammer as they too will see a change. The rear portion of the bike will also see a slightly modified change in the shape and design. There are new side panels and pillion seat for the newly designed bike.
These are all the physical changes made in the bike. However, the spy images do not give any clear idea if there will be any technical changes in the bike like that of to the engine. If there are any such changes, it will be for the first time the bike will see sea changes since its launch five years ago. No wonder, if the engine is changed, the bike will certainly be performance oriented.
