New Delhi Auto Expo 2012Preparations for the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2012 are almost finalized. Important decisions have been already been taken. However, according to the latest developments, a limit has been imposed on the number of visitors. Accordingly, it amounts to only 1 lakh visitors per day for the Auto Expo at the famous Pragati Maidan.

The decision has been taken with a view to minimizing the possible chaos. Taking the growing popularity into consideration, the organizing committee has come to this conclusion. There are a lot of people talking about the 2012 Auto Expo and everyone is eager to pay a visit to the show. It is highly impossible to accommodate all the people, as they just keep pouring in.

This decision of limiting the visitors has been taken keeping in mind the chaos that happened in 2010. Last year, the show was for ten days and was attended by more than 12 lakh people. That was a lot of chaos and a huge turnout daily. That is why the organizers have now decided to keep a check on the visitors.

However, the 2010 Auto Expo had an area of 1.25 lakh sq. meters. This year, the show will be held on 1.15 lakh sq. meters only. That could be another reason why the organizers have decided to limit the visitors on a daily basis. A lot people are getting attracted to shows like this one. There is not only the curiosity to attend the show, but there are potential buyers as well.

A break up of the one lakh permitted visitors has also been made public by the organizing committee. The general visitors that are allowed are 70,000. The rest 30,000 seats per day are allocated to the participants who will be visiting India from as many as 24 countries. Other officials from the companies coming from abroad are also included in the 30,000 reserved seats.

There will be around 24 new cars unveiled from the international participants. The show will also include 8 new models for the domestic – Indian market only. Bajaj Auto and Hero will be the two major auto players in this category.
