auto expoToday – Thursday January 5, is the first day of the Delhi Auto Expo 2012 and it is news time already, folks! Suzuki Motors have launched two new products at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. One of the two products is the motorcycle while the other is a scooter. Hayate is the motorcycle and Swish is the scooter.

Hayate, which means fresh breeze or swift wind in the Japanese language, is a motorcycle with 110cc capacity. Interestingly, the company is targeting those owners who are first timers in buying a bike. Those who are looking for a frugal commuter, the Hayate should be the best option for them, according to the company.

The only deficiency in this report is the price of the bike. The company has yet not spoken anything about the pricing of the bike. So, we will have to wait to know the exact price tag of Hayate.

The scooter, the Swish 125 is a scooter that targets the youth both from the urban India as well as the youth with the modern lifestyle. It is powered by a 4-stroke engine. The Swish can develop 6.4 kw at 7000 rpm and is capable of belting out 9.8 Nm of torque.

The scooter, which is also known as twist-and-go comes in telescopic front forks. It has drum brakes for both the wheels and comes with aerodynamic design. That should help the scooter perform better when it comes to fuel consumption. There is enough room of as much as 20 liters beneath the seat of the Swish.

There is six liters of fuel tank which also sits pretty well beneath the seat, thereby not occupying any other space of the vehicle. Unlike the Hayate, the price of the Swish has been declared. It will cost Rs. 45,431 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter will be available in the market only in the month of March.
