Bosch is one of the better known names in the field of automobiles. They are probably the best when it comes to making the components of motorcycles. As India is seen as one of the best most beneficial markets for any auto industry – be it the beginning or the start, Bosch is following suit. They will soon be entering the Indian market.
The company has introduced the concept of the workshop for the bike industry. And as a part of the expansion process, they will have service centers throughout India. Bosch has named their service centers as Express Bike Service (EBS). They already have 10 such centers in the city of Coimbatore.
The EBS in Coimbatore follows closely the center that was developed in the capital city, where there was only one such center. Mr. S.Murlidharan, who is the Vice President of the company, has said that they are planning to have 50 such centers by the yearend. Out of these 50 outlets, 10 of them will be at strategically important cities.
The VP of the company further added that the service centers were being planned to make up for the gap of the service centers. There is a lot of work to be done for the expansion of the company. Most of it is aimed at the EBS. Mr. S.Murlidharan has hinted that the number of the service centers could be in hundreds.
As a matter of fact Bosch has already 500 car service centers in India. The same could be the number for the bike service centers too. Bosch plans to cater to the needs of offering services to two wheelers of various brands. At the same time, they are also planning on having spare parts and equipment of the original quality.
Offering genuine parts will not be a difficult thing for the company as they themselves are the manufacturers of auto components.
