The much awaited Bajaj Pulsar has made its way on the Indian roads once and for all. There was a lot of excitement about the bike. Though the bike has a brand new existence for itself, it draws the headlights from the XCD Sprint Concept. The updated versions of the Pulsar were already launched by Bajaj earlier.
However, the company yet came out with the 135cc bike. That was obviously for competitive reasons. There were models like Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and the Pulsar 220 in the market already. However, the presence of yet another bike in the 135cc category will surely make it a more competitive business.
There are a lot of worth mentioning features of this bike that falls in the commuter segment. The reasonable price tag of the bike is one of them apart from having the 4 valve technology in place. The bike comes with a fuel tank of eight liters. This is one thing that should be seriously thought of by Bajaj. If they are launching a bike for the competition sake, minute details need to be taken care of.
For the 135cc bike, a fuel consumption of 50 kmpl is reasonable. However, outside the city limits, the bike can improve 10 kmpl more to give you a healthy 60 kmpl. The bike is manufactured with the engine displacement of 134.6cc. The DTS-i technology, as usual, makes its presence felt in the bike. The bike, with an air cooled engine, can produce a high power of 13 Bhp at 9000 rpm and can generate a top torque of 11.4 Nm at 7500 rpm.
The overall appearance of the bike is a great attraction. The black alloy wheels with six spokes, gives it a regal look. Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is available in two shades, which are wine red and midnight black. The bike with the red color and black alloy is engaging.
Here are some specifications of the bike. The length of the Pulsar 135 LS is 2035mm, the width is 750mm while the height is 1165mm. The weight of the bike is 122 kg. The Pulsar has a ground clearance of 170mm. The maintenance free type of the battery should be a good positive to look for.
The wheel size of the bike are 2.75 x 17”, 100/90 x 17” mm while the wheelbase is that of 1325mm.
The bike has a digital speedometer and fuel gauge that makes it easier to get an idea of the fuel. The bike comes with the self start mode too. The tacho meter is in the analogue format. There are also low fuel and battery indicator in place. However, the low oil indicator is missing.
As far the active and the passive safety is concerned, there are suspension and brakes to take care of it. The 130 mm fork travel, telescopic suspension is there for the front while the trailing arm suspension works for the rear. There is the 240mm disc brake for the front wheel and 130mm disc brake for the rear.
