TVS Motors, which is the third largest two wheeler manufacturing company in India, had a plan of manufacturing about 20,000 units in their Uluberia factory in Howrah. The production would be stepped up in the days to come.

The information was given by Mr. Venu Srinivasan, who is the Chairman and Managing Director, TVS Motors. The plant at Uluberia will cater to the eastern India. The company is targeting a production of 20,000 vehicles to start off and is hopeful of increasing the volume as the market demand grows.

The company has a target of reaching a production of two lakh units in the next five years. That is ten times the growth of what TVS has set a target of currently. TVS Motor Company was to take up again the production operations their franchise Mahabharat Motors, located in Uluberia. Mr. Prasun Mukherjee of the Universal Success Enterprises owns the Mahabharat Motors.

TVS Motors is in West Bengal with a purpose in mind and not only setting up a small plant. The Chairman and MD of the company has expressed his confidence that as the market grows, there will be a need to set up plants at various other parts of the country as well. Mr. Venu Srinivasan was speaking during the closing ceremony of the Bengal Leads 2012.

TVS Motors currently have manufacturing units in three parts of the country – one is in north India, while the other two are located in south India. Plans are high on the minds to have units in the eastern and western parts of the country as well.

The production in the state of West Bengal will soon start for TVS after the Calcutta High Court gives the permission for demerger from the Mahabharat Motors. The State Government has already given the clearance for two the companies.

Suzuki Plans It Big With Technology On Their Side

News Journal

Suzuki

After the launch of the 110cc Hayate, Suzuki Motorcycle India is planning it big for the future. The first target for the company is making their successful entry into the mass market. When on one hand, the company is selling a super bike every day the aim for the mass market is going to take them places.

To make significant contribution in the market, the company will have to make themselves available in all the segments possible. The entry of Hayate is the company’s entry in the competitive world of the commuter entry level bikes. The company has been able to point out facts where they need to focus.

The introduction of the Hayate is a move in the right direction. The company is eyeing a 5 per cent market share until the next year and a half. A lot depends for Suzuki on how the bike performs in the market. They have to keep their fingers crossed not only for the response from the market, but also the millage report from the common customers once the bike is launched.

The Hayate will be launched at the start of the next financial year in April at a price tag of between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 42,000.

The Suzuki Access is already performing extremely warmly for the company. The response is so good that there is a waiting period for the scooter in view of a great demand. Yet, the company has launched Swish 125, the scooter that is more or less on the lines of the Access 125.

The reason for this is that the company focuses more on scooters rather than super bikes. It is an added bonus that Suzuki can sale one super bike on a daily basis. The Hayabusa model accounts for at least half the sale. However, there are other companies in the competition. Harley Davidson, Ducati and Triumph will add more value to the competition.

If the history is taken into account, then the numbers speak for Suzuki. The company has grown by nearly 30 per cent on a yearly basis since the past couple of years. For the current financial year, the company is expected to sell around 3.5 lakh two wheelers. The same might increase between 4.5 lakh and 4.7 lakh units if the 30 per cent growth continues for the next financial year as well and the Hayate is expected to play a major role.

Suzuki Launches Hayate Motorcycle And Swish Scooter

Auto Events

News Journal

Suzuki
<guid

Suzuki Motors have launched two new products at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. One of the two products is the motorcycle while the other is a scooter. Hayate is the motorcycle and Swish is the scooter.

Hayate, which means fresh breeze or swift wind in the Japanese language, is a motorcycle with 110cc capacity. Interestingly, the company is targeting those owners who are first timers in buying a bike. Those who are looking for a frugal commuter, the Hayate should be the best option for them, according to the company.

The only deficiency in this report is the price of the bike. The company has yet not spoken anything about the pricing of the bike. So, we will have to wait to know the exact price tag of Hayate.

The scooter, the Swish 125 is a scooter that targets the youth both from the urban India as well as the youth with the modern lifestyle. It is powered by a 4-stroke engine. The Swish can develop 6.4 kw at 7000 rpm and is capable of belting out 9.8 Nm of torque.

The scooter, which is also known as twist-and-go comes in telescopic front forks. It has drum brakes for both the wheels and comes with aerodynamic design. That should help the scooter perform better when it comes to fuel consumption. There is enough room of as much as 20 liters beneath the seat of the Swish.

There is six liters of fuel tank which also sits pretty well beneath the seat, thereby not occupying any other space of the vehicle. Unlike the Hayate, the price of the Swish has been declared. It will cost Rs. 45,431 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter will be available in the market only in the month of March.

Suzuki Plans For The Auto Expo 2012

Auto Events

News Journal

Suzuki
<guid

The Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), is all set up to make their presence felt at the Auto Expo.

Suzuki will be showcasing their bikes both from the international range as well as those made exclusively for the Indian market. It will include both scooters and bikes. The bikes that cater to various segments will be there at the Auto Expo. One of the prominent bikes that will be on the show will be the Intruder.

The Suzuki Intruder M1800R – as the bike is known has a price tag of Rs. 12, 50,000 in the Indian two wheeler market. The bike is one of the best bets for the company. There are a lot of expectations from the bike. The bike speaks for the style statement in itself and speaks volumes the way it is designed.

Apart from the Suzuki Intruder M1800R, the other bikes from the international range those would show up at the Auto Expo are GSX-R1000, Suzuki Hayabusa, GSR750, RMX450Z and the DL650A (V-Strom). The bikes from the Indian range are <a

The bike is powered by an 805cc fuel-injected engine. The engine will be an 8 valve, V-Twin liquid-cooled one. The company has made arrangements for the users to interact with. For this they have come up with a touch screen stand for those who wish to get more information about the Suzuki bikes. The details of the products are available here.
<p

However now, a newer version of the same bike is available as well. The new version has a slashed price tag to talk of. The new Intruder M800, as the bike is known, has been launched in Delhi at a price of Rs. 8.88 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The Suzuki Intruder I800, the predecessor of the M800 is costlier by Rs. 4.5 lakhs. However, the I800 had a higher displacement than the M800. So that is one thing the customers should keep an eye on. That means, the M800 will be available in lesser capacity engine. That is what has made it possible to cut down the price by that big a difference.

The difference between the two versions will be clearly evident by the fact that the M800 will carry an engine of 800cc displacement (the M800 will have an engine displacement of 805cc to be exact), while its elder sibling had an engine capacity of 1800cc – which is an entire one liter lesser than the displacement of the gargantuan engine.

<img
class="alignleft size-full wp-image-4013" title="Suzuki_Intruder_M800" src="http://www.bikespace.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Suzuki_Intruder_M800-2jpg.jpg" alt="Intruder M800"width="300" height="225" />The Intruder M800 can generate a high power of 53 Bhp at 6000 rpm and can reach a top torque of 62 Nm at 4000 rpm. However, these are meager numbers when it comes to the same technicalities of the I800. The elder sibling can produce almost more than double the power and torque as compared to the M800 – 127 Bhp and 160 Nm respectively.

Both the I800 and the M800 sport the common liquid cooled fuel injected V-Twin engine. There are four valves on each cylinder along with the DOHC layout. When it comes to handling, the M800 will easily stand out. The new bike weighs 279Kg, while the I800 weighs a whopping 347 Kg – a deficit of j

Suzuki Reveals, Inazuma 250

News Journal

Suzuki
<guid

The bike comes with an engine displacement of 248cc. According to Suzuki, the beautifully built parallel twin has the design that is influenced by the B-King. It serves both the newbie and the seasoned rider, Suzuki promises.

However, the price tag, the features of the bike or the expected performance of the Inazuma 250 have yet been revealed by the company. The bike is a healthy competitor for other bikes like Kawasaki Ninja 250R that falls in the £4182 price tag and the Honda CBR250R that costs £3688.

The bike has been developed keeping in mind the need to have a bike that is not only reliable but also cost effective. Actually, the company says that there is a need for such bikes presently. The word “Inazuma” means lightening in the Japanese language. This gives the impression that the bike is power packed and comes with high performance.

More details about the Suzuki Inazuma 250 are awaited. Please come back to know the latest about the bike.

Review Of Suzuki Access

Suzuki

Mahindra Duro. All these three vehicles fall in the scooterette segment. Any given bike is capable of and does give a neck-and-neck fight to the other two. However, there is really very little to choose from these three bikes.

<img
class="alignleft size-full wp-image-3698" title="Suzuki-Access-Amazing-Mileage" src="http://www.bikespace.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Suzuki-Access-Amazing-Mileage.jpg" alt="Suzuki Access"width="281" height="184" />Let is throw some light on the Suzuki Access. Though the vehicle has a shape of a scooterette, it has a powerful engine capacity of 125cc. The actual displacement of the Access is 124cc. This is actually more power than the Splendor models or the Passion models which do not have engine displacement of even 100cc.

Therefore, more than the shape of the bike, one should take into account the power of the bike. Secondly, it will not empty your pocket a lot as against the prices of bikes.

But one thing may go against the Access, is the fuel consumption. The Suzuki Access comes with a fuel tank of 6.40 liters. In the city region, the Access gives an average of around 45 kmph while on highways it increases by around 7 to 8 KMs. As compared to the bikes mentioned above, they are good in fuel consumption. So, consumers should keep an eye on this factor.

Another factor that does not go with the attractive Suzuki Access is the absence of tubeless tires. This is one of the most common features found in almost all of the variants and various models today. However, the presence of the alloy wheels is there to save the grace.

The length of the Access is 1780 mm, the height is 1125 mm and the width is 650 mm. The ground clearance of the vehicle is 160 mm while the overall weight is 109 KG. The wheelbase of the Access is 1250 mm.

<img
class="alignright size-full wp-image-3699" title="Suzuki-Access-Tail-Light" src="http://www.bikespace.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Suzuki-Access-Tail-Light.jpg" alt="Suzuki Access"width="276" height="182" />The bike comes with a 4 stroke, air cooled OHC engine. It produces a maximum power of 8.58 Bhp at 7000 rpm and generates a peak torque of 9.8 Nm at 6500 rpm. The proof of the powerful engine is that it has a great pickup and acceleration. The bike takes only 6.56 seconds to reach the 60 kmph. And you can drive the Access at a top speed of 92 kmph.

As the bike is targeted for the ladies, it has more color options available. The Access comes in colors like white black, grey, purple, red and Silver. The grey and the silver color are more favorite amongst the common female consumers.

The good thing about the Access is that, it has a very good balance thanks to the wheel size of 90/100-10 and rear 90/100-10 mm. Moreover, the presence of good suspension makes the ride a lot more enjoyable. There is telescopic suspension for the front and swing arm suspension for the rear. The 130 mm drum brakes are enough to control the bike.

There is the self start option for the vehicle in place. Among other features is the low oil indicator as well as the low battery indicator. The fuel gauge and the speedometer come in the analogue configuration.

Suzuki Access Price

The Suzuki GW250 will show up in India before long. The Japanese auto maker has decided to step up the procedure and not make the unwanted waiting periods lengthier, which are already tedious and boring. The bike buffs will have to wait for just a matter of a few months before the Suzuki GW250 actually lands in India.

As we mentioned above that the company is speeding up the work to lessen the production time, the production of the bikes have already begun in China. That is why the much awaited and the much talked about bike will be in India before long. The Suzuki GW250 is expected to carry a price tag between 1 lakh and 1.5 lakhs.

Suzuki is leaving no stone unturned to popularize the bike in India. They expect a lot out of the beautifully designed bike and are confident that it will prove to be the apple of everyone’s eyes when it is launched.

The Suzuki GW250 is a strong and performance oriented bike. It will come in liquid cooled twin cylinder engine. The displacement of the bike will be 250cc – much as what the name suggests. The Suzuki GW250 can create a top power of 26 Bhp at 8500 rpm and can generate a high torque of 24 Nm at 7000 rpm.

The avid bike lovers might have guessed it that the Suzuki GW250 carries many of its features which are also to be found in the Honda 250R. However, the bike will certainly be of the quality that Suzuki possesses and is just not a dummy of the popular Honda bike.

However, the company is planning to manufacture the model in India itself. It will give a feeling of a homely product. Secondly, it will help the company to manufacture the bike at lower costs. And lower manufacturing costs mean lower selling price, as the company can save on the unnecessary production and shipping costs.

If Suzuki is successful in implementing their plans, they will be much on the lines of the Honda what they applied for the Honda CBR250R. They have been successful in shifting some of the production to India from Thailand. That helped the company to cut down on the bike’s costs.

Suzuki is planning to launch the Suzuki GW250 model close on the heels of their successful launch of the Access model, which has been a runaway hit in the Indian market.

Motorcycle Achieves A Top Speed Of 502 kmph

Beyond 2Wheels

News Journal

Suzuki
<guid

The bike used in this amazing daredevil feat is the Suzuki Hayabusa. Why we say it is a daredevil feat because, the rider was not enclosed a safety of its kind or even for a better aerodynamics to get better results.

The rider who achieved this unique feat is Bill Warner, who hails from Florida, United States. The record speed was achieved on a sit-up motorcycle. The commendable achievement was carried out at the Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine, United States.

The top speed recorded by Bill Warner was 311.945 mph. this is more than 502 kmph. However, for a record, it needs to be mentioned that the speed of 502+ kmph is not the highest ever recorded for a two-wheeler. There have been bike which have been driven at higher speeds than what Bill Warner did. However, in each of the attempts before, the bikes were enclosed.

With the speed of 502 kmph and slightly higher, Bill Warner has broken his own record that he set in the last year. In 2010, Bill Warner had recorded a top speed of 278.6 mph.

Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R Motorcycles Up For Sale

Beyond 2Wheels

News Journal

Suzuki
<guid

Well, you will not find this any sort of news as there is nothing special about having bikes up for sale. However, the exciting thing is that these are those motorcycles which were used in a Pepsi advertisement some years ago.

To add more to the excitement, these are those motorcycles which were used by Beyonce and Jenifer Lopez. In this commercial, both Beyonce and Jenifer Lopez are dressed as elite fighters. For those interested in buying these bikes, the company has also declared the price tags of the vehicles. The bike will cost 19,995 GBP.

Enough care has been taken that both the bikes remain as new as ever. For that reason, they were put in workshop room which had the option of controlling the temperature. That makes the bikes look so new as if they are just out of the factory. There is not even the slightest of scratches anywhere on the body of the bike.

The bike carries a registration number plate from Hong Kong. However, the bike is registered in England, on a 54 number plate. There are no modifications done in the bike. Right from the color to other details, all are in the right order and in the right place. The LED lighting underbody as well as the tail is all intact. It is just the prefect bike representation.

The bike has been used nearly nothing. The speedometer clock shows 100 miles and that have been honestly kept as they are. There is no tampering done with the distance travelled by the bike.

The one, who purchases the bike, will be given b photo book as a perk. This includes the photos from the time when the bikes were used for shooting with the two beautiful ladies. The book also contains images of the bike in the manufacturing stages.

The Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R has been transported with great care. Most of the travelling has been done by flight to retain the novelty, the freshness and the original look of the bike.
