Honda CBR250R Exclusively For Asia; Thailand And India Will Witness It On Roads Soon

All the surprises are over, all the confusions and doubts seem to get blurred as today Honda made a news release over Honda CBR250R that the latest machine will be launched in Thailand in Nov, 2010 and then will cascade it’s entry in Indian market. There were lot of discussions going on internet these days as which is the bike that Honda will launch in India as the company had claimed to introduce a bike with displacement over 200cc in Indian market and that too before the end to this year. They have kept their promise and the bike is enhanced version of Honda CBR150R that has been already launched in Thailand past a week.

The above pictures are of Honda CBR250R but exclusively Thai Version. I mean when the bike will be introduced officially in India it may have some different looks, may be some graphics change.But the expected one is same and the below images will give you clear look on Honda CBR250R (click on the images to view enlarged).

The company has also revealed the technical specifications of CBR250R and again the same are for Thai version which may or may not be same for Indian version.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (Pvt.) Ltd. will also start production of the CBR250R next spring and extend sales from India to South America. Honda will also offer the CBR250R at a more affordable price in the diversified Indian motorcycle market by effectively carrying out global procurement of parts and materials in the same way as Thai Honda.

The CBR250R is equipped with a newly-developed liquid-cooled 250cc 4-stroke 4-valve single-cylinder DOHC engine that is easy to handle. High environmental performance that meets Euro 3 emission standards and Thailand’s sixth emission standards was realized by adopting an electronically controlled fuel injection system (PGM-FI) as well as an O2 sensor and taking advantage of the combined effect with a catalyzer fitted inside the exhaust pipe.

The full-cowl body presents a highly advanced design full of functional beauty. The light and compact frame, made of a highly-rigid diamond shape in a truss structure, offers agile handling and steady maneuverability as a sports model, while the cowl design enables optimal control of the wind toward the engine or the rider.

In the area of safety technology, the CBR250R’s specifications incorporate Combined ABS, a world first for a 250cc-class road sports model into a designated type. The Combined ABS makes vehicle movements more stable during braking by bringing together a Combined Brake System (CBS, a front- and rear-wheel interlocking braking system) and an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS, a braking system that prevents wheel lock during sudden braking or under unfavorable conditions).

The legendary motorcycle manufacturers, Triumph from Great Britian have made their latest attraction a bit exposed. Yes, the company has revealed 2011 Triumph Speed Triple. The release event was held at 2010 Intermot Show in Germany. The bike is pretty impressive and really updated on its earlier versions.

2010 is giving some launches at departure. After Mahindra Mojo and Mahindra Stallio we now have New Hunk from Hero Honda. I had a doubt if it is New Hero Hunk or Hero Honda Hunk but I guess no effects from the coalition side. Anyways, bike has been launched and the waiting side seems to be over for all Hero Honda fans.

#1 In considerations to body looks, side panels make an observable change. I think they are inspired on “Fear The Black” tagline which Bajaj used on Pulsars once upon a time and they have redesigned the side panels with black colors. And visor has got some sleek and curved looks with loss in opaqueness.

#2 On the graphics part, the stickers get a change; GRS is now ATFT indicating the bike comes with Advanced Tumble Flow Technology.

#3 In new variants of every brand we see some good reflections from electrical dept. of the machine. And New Hero Honda Hunk features a Digital Console with RPM meter retaining its Analogue ritual. Moreover the color schemes are bright on its part. Some terracotta color is behaving as background. And in the rear segment, as a trend, the Hunk receiving LED tail lights or simply brake lights.

#4 Hardware is almost same but some changes can be observed like muffler on exhaust is black colored,  the pillion railing on rear is also dark black now and the tyres go tubeless on both the ends. Also the rear view mirrors will scheme the same color as that of body.

#5 If you want to go more sporty with New Hero Honda Hunk then you have an add-on option for Rs3000 to go for 220mm rear disc brakes making  the bike special in its segment.

#6 New Hunk will be available in three new body color schemes viz. Bold Brown, Ebony Grey and Blazing Red in addition to the existing Sports Red, Panther Black and Sorce Silver.

The New Hero Honda Hunk will cost you round about Rs64, 724 (on road, New Delhi). But the price tag may differ as per your region.

We already know about the facts from KTM collaboration(s) with companies like Bajaj Autos and Kawasaki Motors. Moreover we know there is a bike for us , under process and in Queue to hit Indian markets. But we don’t know exactly what type of bike it is and what are its features. The only clue we had received from the official desk was that the first bike to be released in India will be KTM Duke. Recently KTM has released an official video – let me call it a teaser video because the bike has not been previewed completely in the video. But we can glare the stylish and heart throbbing KTM product. The bike seems to be for India and already ready for laucnh.

Remember about the rumor which was all in the air during month of April this year that Mahindra India will soon launch Motorcycles in India. It is no more rumor because news overtakes with the significance. Yes, Mahindra 2 wheeler which is to be launched first in India has already been tested in Italy’s Test Circuit. Not much tech specs and previews of the bike are available but Mahindra has released a short 480p video from the test Circuit.
