In the entire month, the company sold 39,162 units, as against the 30,310 units in November last year. This was an increase of 8,852 units.

However, the sales were slightly short in the domestic market, though there was an overall growth for Yamaha Motors. The company recorded 24 per cent growth in the domestic market. The sales increased from 22,710 from the last year to 28,178 units this year – a growth of 5468 units.

In the export division too, the company registered a healthy growth, in fact, much higher than the above mentioned figures. In November 2010, the company had exported 7600 units. Last month, the company exported 10,984 units, with an increase of 3384 units. This is a tremendous growth of more than 44 per cent.

The models that performed well for the company are YZF-R15 Version 2.0. Apart from this, Yamaha SZ and Yamaha FZ also contributed to the success of the company. These models did well both in the foreign markets as well as in the domestic market.

To expand their base and sales, the company is now planning to explore the potential in the layer II and layer III cities. Sales and service networks in these cities can give a good boost to the success Yamaha Motors is experiencing these days. The campaign “YES!YAMAHA” has got the customers to believe, that yes, it is Yamaha that is the solution to their problems.

For the last ten years, since August 2001, Yamaha India became a 100 per cent subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd Motors. For the last three years now, the company has been doing business with Mitsui & Co., Ltd.

M & M Joins Hands With Yamaha For Better Sales In India

Yamaha
<guid

It is touted to be a reason that it will help both the companies boost their sales in the Indian market. A tie up is on the cards in the next few days to come.

According to the proposed joint venture, M & M will obtain the technical knowhow from Yamaha. Yamaha on the other hand will benefit from the healthy distribution network that M & M possesses with them. The dealership base of the Mahindra house is also in good shape. So it will be a helping hand to Yamaha as well.

It was three years ago in the year 2008 when Mahindra made their debut in the two wheeler segment. They had then got a huge stake of 80 per cent in the Kinetic Motor Company. Three years on, M & M can afford to spend something in the region of Rs. 200 crores to Rs. 300 crores with their partner.

Mahindra will call the shots as they will be investing 51 per cent and Yamaha will have a share of 41 per cent. The remaining 8 per cent of the amount may be completed by the third partner/investor with Mahindra and Yamaha. This deal is likely to be finalized until the month of May 2012.

The sales for Yamaha have been good of late. They have had an increase of 26.82 per cent in October this year. That amounts to sales of 47,240 units. Yamaha Motors have their eyes set on the rural market, though the Bharat bike from the house of Bajaj is there to compete with. But Yamaha will be ushering in more competitively priced bikes to meet the challenge from any other quarters.

A drop in the demand for four wheelers is attracting more and more customers towards the two wheeler segment. That should work in the favor of two wheeler companies, and Yamaha is trying to cash in on the opportunity.

Yamaha Reaches The Target Sales Figure For 2011

News Journal

Yamaha
<guid

The same has happened with Yamaha Motors. With rural India buying more bikes, auto major Yamaha Motors can now boast of having met the target sales for the current year 2011. Rural areas have been the key focus of the company to increase their sales. And fortunately for them, everything is clicking.

Keeping the trend in mind, the company is planning to start their third plant in the country soon. The plant is aimed at launching newer products in the country. Apart from that it will also help in increasing the production capacity. As the company is doing well in the rural sector, it will want to cater to the needs and keep up with the pace of the demand.

The third plant will make it possible to increase the market share of the company by a healthy 10 per cent. However, there is yet no official word as what size the new plant will be. But as a guess, it is estimated that the plant will be able to touch a production figure of one million units. If reports are anything to go by, then the company is planning to invest Rs. 50 crores.

Currently Yamaha has a plant in Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh. Here, around 6, 00,000 units can be produced each year. With the new plant, the company plans to increase the production by 66 per cent. The current growth for the company is 34 per cent with sales of 2, 81,000 units. Sales target of 3, 30,000 is what the company is currently eyeing.

Until the next yearend, Yamaha Motors want to touch sales figures of 4, 50,000 units. Again the rural India will be the prime target for the auto player as there has been a warm response. To boost sales, the company has brought up 400 sale points as well. The future looks bright for Yamaha Motors.

Yamaha Motors Record 27 per cent Zoom In Sales

News Journal

Yamaha
<guid

Yamaha Motors is one of the busier auto majors to have had a successful last month. The month of October 2011 proved to be satisfying for the company as there were sales on the rise.

In spite of the fact that there has been a series of fuel price hikes and the interest rates to boot, the customers did not desert the Yamaha in such days. On the contrary, it was the Yamaha bikes that were given more preference by the general customers. It was also noticed that customers showed more liking to the two wheelers than four wheelers.

All these factors have contributed to the higher sales of Yamaha bikes. In October the overall sales have risen by 26.82 per cent. A total of 47,240 units were sold in October. These sales included the domestic sales for the month. In the last October the company had recorded sales of 37,251. This means that there was an increase of 9,989 units in this October.

Now let us have a look at the domestic sales figures as well. For the month of October 2011 Yamaha sold 38,299 units, while for the same period last year, they had sold 31,791 units. This shows a rise of 6,508 units which is equivalent of 20.25 per cent. As far as the exports are concerned, there was rising figures to boast of. October 2011 saw sales of 9011 units as compared to 5460 units for the same period last year.

Pastures seem to be greener for the two wheeler company. The festive season made such huge sales possible for the company. If the same trend for the company continues, they are sure to set new records for the upcoming months as well.

Review Of Yamaha FZ16

Yamaha
<guid

But why has it to be so. Well, it is not for nothing and there has to be reasons for the same as well. Amongst the important contributing factors are the looks and the graphics of the bike.

<img
class="alignleft size-full wp-image-3659" title="" src="http://www.bikespace.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/yamaha-fz16-bikespace-2.jpg" alt="Yamaha FZ16"width="120" height="91" />The black alloy wheels give the bike a good impressive looks along with the fuel tank. The fuel tank is what catches your eye as soon as you see the bike. It is a big obtruding thing that makes the most of the upper part of the front side of the bike. The size gives you an impression that it is a big tank with a huge capacity. However, the total capacity is only 12 liters.

<img
class="alignright size-full wp-image-3661" title="" src="http://www.bikespace.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/yamaha-fz16-bikespace-3.jpg" alt="Yamaha FZ16"width="120" height="91" />The bike is manufactured with an air cooled four stroke SOHC 2 valve engine. The bike is a unique blend of performance and power put together. The 153 cc engine is strong enough to give you a flying experience once you get the bike accelerating in a rhythm. The smooth pickup is spontaneous and an experience worth remembering.

The bike comes with a CDI ignition system. The front side indicators are positioned at the side of the headlight. The front mud-guard is painted in the same color as that of the fuel tank. The sitting position for the rider and the pillion are divided, with the seat of the pillion a tad higher than that of the driver.

<img
class="alignleft size-full wp-image-3662" title="yamaha-fz16-bikespace (4)" src="http://www.bikespace.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/yamaha-fz16-bikespace-4.jpg" alt="Yamaha FZ16"width="120" height="91" />The powerful bike develops a maximum power of 14 PS at 7500 rpm and generates a top torque of 14 Nm at 6000 rpm.

The ground clearance of the bike looks okay with the 160 mm distance. Amongst the other specifications, the length is 1975 mm, the height is 1045 mm while the width is 770 mm. The wheelbase of 1335 mm is good enough to exercise good control over the bike.

<img
class="alignright size-full wp-image-3663" title="yamaha-fz16-bikespace (5)" src="http://www.bikespace.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/yamaha-fz16-bikespace-5.jpg" alt="Yamaha FZ16"width="120" height="91" />The brakes and the suspension also play an important part in the control and safety of the bike. The front suspension is of the telescopic type, while the rear suspension is monocross one. The bike sports front disc brake. The hydraulic single disc makes up for the front brake, while the rear brake is the traditional disc type.

It is expected that the Yamaha FZ16 will do it well for the company in the 150cc category.

Yamaha FZ16 Price
<p

The latest superbike from the Yamaha clan happens to be the R1 liter class bike. The bike is still in the wings and is raring to go. The Yamaha R1 will be launched in the next year. A lot of eyes are set on the bike and how it will perform when finally it lands in the common bikers’ hands.

The YFZ R1 is blessed with the all new LED lamp at the front. That should make the night viewing and travelling easier than before. The exhaust muffler has been re-made and comes with a brand new heat shield. To add to the features are the top triple clamp and the headlight cowl.

Apart from that there are also technical changes made in the bike. There will be a Traction Control System in place for the bike to go with the EUC. The Traction Control System will offer a six way control. It comes a throttle response control that is of the three-level D mode type. That makes it possible for the rider to experience 21 diverse modes in all.

However, there are some of the things that will not change in the bike. One of them is the displacement of the bike – it remains the same at 998 cc. Apart from that the under seat exhaust also does not change its place.

Yamaha will be offering around 2000 units of the ‘World GP 50th Anniversary Edition’. These will come in rapid red livery or in pearl white. The bike is expected to be launched in the month of October 2012. As of now, the bike carries a price tag of around $ 13,990. Those who wish to own the mind-blowing special edition will have to pay $500 more.

Yamaha To Launch New Anniversary Models Shortly

News Journal

Yamaha

The popular bike company, Yamaha may come up with new anniversary models. It is expected that the models may be launched as early as this week itself. As many as four editions may be launched by Yamaha. The launch may take place any time in this week as almost all the preparations are over.

There is absolutely no word from Yamaha about how the bikes will be or what their power will be or any other technical information that the common bike lover would have loved to know. However, there is a reason for the launch. The company has completed 50 years in Grand Prix racing. That is the reason for the launch.

That is why it is expected that the bikes may be also in the same category. All the bikes that would be launched would be special editions. Therefore, there would be limited production of the bikes in question.

Yamaha will not divulge any details until the middle of the week at least. However, it is interesting to know that the company’s website speaks for four models being launched. That is how the news spread. The website, however, does not provide any details in text for image format.

Out of these four, there will be the upgraded Yamaha YZF R1 and the cosmetically altered YZF-R6, FZ8 and YZF-R125. It is very strange to know that the company has given out no official statement yet, but the official site has provided some details. So, it is doubtful if the very same models will indeed be the ones which are in the wings.

As far as the Yamaha YZF R1 is concerned, there will not be any major changes in the model but the bike will see lots of engineering changes. If you remember, the bike was launched in 2009 and since then there have been no changes in the bike at all. Every company, be it a local or a foreign one, want to cash in on this market. Yamaha Motors is one of these auto companies.

The company has set a target for themselves in the 150cc category. They want to sale at least 5.2 lakh bikes in India in the running financial year. This sales figure will be close to 40 per cent increase in their sales, if they happen to achieve this target.

The company could well be on its course on achieving the feat. They have launched the much talked about Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 last Tuesday. It has been an upgraded bike and a strong competitor in the 150cc category. The bike can develop a maximum power of 17 Ps at 8500 rpm and has the ability to generate a top torque of 15 Nm at 7500 rpm.

The company has already seen a growth of 40 per cent in its stake since the last year. The 150cc segment bikes contributed mostly towards this. That is the reason why Yamaha Motors want to keep the momentum going by concentrating on bikes in the same segment. The company statement also said that they are eyeing an increase in the company portion by around 20 per cent until the end of the year.

If the company has to go anywhere near the target that they have set for themselves, then the Yamaha R15 will have to play an important role in the success. Yamaha has done what all it takes to make the bike more popular than its predecessor. The bike has addressed the poor Indian road conditions by having damping telescopic suspensions for the front and monoshock coil spring suspension for the rear wheel.

It now remains to be seen what kind of response the bike gets from the customers.

Yamaha R15 Launched In India

News Journal

Yamaha
<guid

And now, the much talked about bike – the Yamaha R15 has finally been launched in India. The bike is also known as the R15 Version 2.0. There is now a lot to cheer about for the bike lovers.

The bike has been introduced at a price of Rs. 1.07 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The booking has already started. All the Yamaha outlets are accepting the bookings for the bike, which is good news for those who were waiting for the bookings to start.

There was a long wait for the upgraded version of the bike in the Indian market. As this is an upgraded version, there are some new changes for you to look up to. It is the overall cosmetics that make the bike a lot more attractive than its predecessor. Apart from the cosmetic changes, there are performance oriented changes as well. This should make the sportbike a temptation.

The Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 comes with a single cylinder FI engine. The bike comes with a 150cc engine, the displacement of which is 149.8cc. The bike can produce a maximum power of 17 Ps at 8500 rpm and generates a top torque of 15 Nm at 7500 rpm.

There is the hydraulic damping telescopic suspension in the front wheel while the monoshock coil spring suspension takes care of the rear wheel to tackle the Indian roads which are mostly filled with potholes. For better control the bike is blessed with disc brakes for both the wheels. Even the earlier variant of the bike had disc brakes for both wheels.

The bike comes with a black color coating on the engine. So that should keep it rustproof for a longer period of time. Apart from that the black alloy wheels add to the beauty of the bike. You will see new tire hugger for both front and rear wheels. Moreover, the bike is designed for better aerodynamics as well. All in all, the Yamaha R15 is one of the best bikes in the market today.

Book Your New Yamaha R15 At Rs 10,000

News Journal

Yamaha

launch of the Yamaha R15. We had told you that the bike would be launched on September 6, in the next month. Now let us turn to something new. Symbolically, the bookings of a new bike which is launched, begins from the date on which it is launched. But the same is not the case about Yamaha R15.

Though there is yet some time to go for the launch, the company has gone out of the way and has started bookings already. Yes, it may sound surprising to you if you are unaware of these developments. However, it is absolutely true. The bookings for the Yamaha R15 are currently underway in Pune.

That should give the bike lovers another chance to be happy as they are assured that they can own the Yamaha bike just by booking it. But that is just not the only thing to get ecstatic. Another reason is the down payment. You can go book your Yamaha R15 for just Rs. 10,000. The low payment for booking will certainly attract more customers. This can prove to be a good marketing strategy on the company’s part.

The payments are made easier by various modes of payments. You can pay the amount through cheque or DD, and of course, the cash payment facility is always up there. And yes, do not forget to get the receipt of your payment, in whichever means it may be.

Once the formalities are completed, the Yamaha R15 version 2 will be at your doorstep in a month’s time. The bike has a waiting period of one month after booking. Booking the new sport bike from Yamaha beforehand will ensure you a bike in at least 30 days. The letter you book, the longer your waiting period will be.

There will be rush once the bike is launched. So the earlier you book, the better for you!
